President
Craig started working in the composites industry in 1999 after a stint as an experimental aircraft fabricator and pilot led him to the aerospace field. Having started at Aerodine Composites as a laminator, Craig worked his way up to Chief Engineer and then President as of August 2013.
Craig has a keen eye for detail and a tireless work ethic. He manages a team of highly skilled engineers and craftsmen who work on some of the industry’s most leading-edge mechanical and aerodynamic components for professional motorsports teams, aerospace companies, and a variety of other diverse customers. Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University, as well as a Masters degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Craig is a member of several professional organizations and was a founding member of the Indiana Advanced Aerospace Manufacturing Alliance. A licensed FAA Inspector and Repairman, Craig is also a graduate of Leadership Hendricks County and was the 2020 winner of the Louis Schwitzer Award for engineering excellence presented by the Society of Automotive Engineers.
General Manager
Steve started working for Aerodine Composites in February of 1990 through a work program at the Area One Vocational Center and was the first person to be hired by Aerodine Composites. Steve has touched all aspects of the business including shipping and receiving, parts layup, scheduling, customer service, trackside liaison, inventory, quoting, and sales.
Steve is a well-known and respected leader in the composites community. He is also known to meet many unique challenges that arise in the composites industry and has worked tirelessly through many nights to repair crashed parts so that customers could be back on the track or in the air the very next day. His dedication to customers’ success makes him an invaluable asset to the Company. Steve is a graduate of the Abaris composites training program and an FAA-certified Repairman.
Senior Corporate Controller
Nathan has experience in a wide range of industries including transportation, healthcare, telecommunications, and manufacturing. He began his career with Celadon Group, Inc. in Indianapolis where he drove innovation in all aspects of the finance department including pricing, accounts payable, accounting, internal audit, and ISO 9001.
Nathan relocated to Florida for five years, where he was most recently the Controller/Manager of Finance at Frontline Communications. His diverse background and hard work ethic helped drive process improvements and efficiency in accounting, internal controls for SOX compliance, and bid cost/price analysis. Additionally, he managed all financial processes which included FP&A, forecast, and budgeting. He assisted in other aspects of the business as well, including engineering, purchasing, inventory, and operations. Nathan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Master’s in Accounting from Indiana University, before receiving his Certified Public Accountant license.
Technical Advisor
Adam Gans has been driving innovation in the world of composites for over two decades. Founder of Gans Consulting, he collaborates regularly with an extensive international network of technological leaders in a broad range of industries. His hands-on experience in materials and manufacturing, coupled with his understanding of intellectual property law, positions him as a leading reference in terms of advanced composite applications.
Adam has held executive leadership roles at Nike, Performance Sports Group, and Adidas/CCM. His success in delivering innovation at a rapid pace is, in part, due to collaborative work with an extensive global network of both the composites industry and academia. Adam is an active member of the ICCM Industry working group and listed as the Primary Design Engineer on 24 international patents.
Adam sits on the boards of Aerodine Composites and Requip’d LLC, a US company that develops products from recycled carbon fiber and uses the proceeds to support charitable organizations, including the American Special Hockey Association (ASHA). He is an active member of Nex-Gen Sports, a cutting-edge consortium of leading technical experts and product designers from around the globe committed to driving meaningful innovation in the sporting goods industry.
