Aerodine Composites Offers Formula SAE Sponsorship Valued at $15K
Indianapolis, Indiana | November 10, 2021 – Aerodine Composites is a premier manufacturer and leading performance designer of advanced composites across multiple market segments such as Motorsports, Aerospace, Military/Defense, Industrial, and Medical.
Aerodine has consistently set the standard for state-of-the-art composites in product design and tooling for the motorsports industry. Born and bred at the Indianapolis 500, Aerodine’s motorsports heritage runs deep and has played a part in every Indianapolis 500 winner for over 30 years.
In Q4 2021 – Aerodine has announced a voting contest on the Company’s LinkedIn page to pick one College or University Formula SAE Team to be the recipient of a Sponsorship that will expand their aero package with a front wing built to their specifications. The Formula SAE’s Student Competitions are events where engineering schools from all over the world design, build, and test a race car prototype based on a series of rules, determined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Next year’s Formula SAE competitions will take place in Brooklyn, Michigan in May-June 2022.
SAE is a global association of more than 128,000 engineers centered on connecting and educating mobility professionals to enable safe, clean, accessible mobility solutions, and life-long learning, and voluntary consensus standards development. SAE also runs a charitable foundation and multiple programs including the Collegiate Design Series. (Please note: SAE is not associated with this specific contest, or directly with Aerodine Composites in any fashion.)
Max Thouin, Aerodine’s Vice President of Sales and Business Development shared:
“The Formula SAE competition is the Engineering equivalent of College Football. The collegiate students who dedicate themselves to the program work tirelessly to be the best, and working with a supplier is a skill set that all engineers must master. Therefore, we believe this exercise will be just as formative for the winning team as if they built the front wing themselves. We identified this could be a compelling contest for the students, as expanding the student’s aero package with a front wing built to the student’s specifications will be memorable, with an estimated value of $15,000. We ultimately decided to let the public decide through a vote and share process via Aerodine Composite’s LinkedIn Profile.”
