Aerodine Quality

Aerodine is accredited under AS9100D, a standard that is globally recognized as the benchmark in the manufacturing industry. We also hold industry-specific aerospace quality certifications such as ISO9001:2015 and the FAA Part 145 Repair Station license, which fit within the more stringent AS9100D procedures.

Adhering to these standards, our quality plan includes:

  • Material traceability
  • In-process inspections
  • Equipment calibration
  • Training
  • Administrative control
Quality Composite Production

Our quality plans for new products always begin with thoroughly understanding our customer requirements. In most cases, those expectations already fall within our audited, company-wide quality protocols with respect to traceability and documentation. Any specific requirement that falls outside of our internal control system is identified and turned into a process control item, with all documentation completed to the standards required under AS9100 and ISO9001. Our customer-specific quality plans are tailored to create a closed feedback loop with the customer and allow us to swiftly resolve any issue that may arise.

First Article Inspections are routinely performed on any new part and additional inspections can be performed by Aerodine on request. Aerodine had expansive measuring, analysis and reporting capabilities, both in-house and on a contracted basis. A wide range of Inspection Equipment is used to accomplish the following certified select quality control processes.

  • Inspection Procedures
  • Continuity of Inspection Responsibility
  • Material Receiving Inspection and Tagging
  • Scrapped Parts Program
  • General Test Requirements
  • Preliminary Inspection
  • Inspection for Hidden Damage
  • Qualifying and Surveilling Non-Certificated Personnel
  • Final Inspection and Release to Service
  • Internal Audit and Surveillance

Aerodine Certifications

Aerodine currently conforms to all the recognized aerospace quality certifications. The latest additions came in 2021 as we added ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D to our already impressive quality standards.

AS9100D

AS9100D, also known as EN9100:2018 is the latest standard for organizations involved in designing, developing or providing aviation, space, and defense products and services. This also includes parts, components, and assemblies. AS9100D was designed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) aided by representatives from aviation, space and defense companies from around the world.

ISO9001:2015

ISO9001 is a globally recognized management standard and is considered to be essential for any organization serious about improving its quality. The standard is used to show that an organization consistently produces products that meet customer, industry and regulatory requirements.

Together AS9100D and ISO9001 are a badge of excellence in quality management and a standard for any Advanced Composites Manufacturer providing products for the aerospace industry. Our certifications were administered by PRI Registrar and accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB). Both the ISO 9001 and AS9100D certifications were completed within six months and with no need for repeat audits.

These certifications will help to further anchor Aerodine as not only a household name in motorsports but also as a premium aerospace composites supplier to the broader aviation industry.
